Painter of art

“Artist Jan Latinne commutes between his studio at Lanklaar (Belgium) and his studio in the South of France. Both places touch his thoughts and feelings and affect his way of life. He has exposed in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany and the United States. He is a painter most of all, but he also creates ceramics, fiber glass sculptures and porcelain, sometimes even furniture and carpets. He is an autodidact who designs in a very personal style. It still makes him, at the age of 70, a self-willed artist.” Jempi Welkenhuyzen |

“Jan Latinne shows great creativity and composes, with skill and in a flourishing style, his colourful compositions, in all of which woman takes an important place: the woman who never was and never will be. Belief in progress triumphes in his work.” Prof. Dr. Frans Van Mechelen |
